The purpose of this site is to promote education throughout the metal clay community. So the goal is to gather information from everyone involved in metal clay and provide a centralized, searchable education hub as a resource for everyone to enjoy. The main sections of this site are the Library page, the Events page, and the Gallery page.
For members who register and login on this site, you will have access to the Library page and the Events page. Search our library for Docx and PDF files you can download. View the resources already there with more to come.
For educators who register and login, you can upload information about a teaching event you are doing. There's a form to use and you can alway edit or delete the classes you post. If you have something you would like to add to our library, please register to login and then use the Contact form to send us a message.
Terry Kovalcik launched the Facebook group, Metal Clay Now (MCN), in March 2015 with support from his wife, Corrin, and Tim McCreight who was instrumental in the formation of the PMC Guild. Our goals—to educate and inspire—are the foundation for our group. MCN has sister sites on Pinterest and Twitter with future plans to building a presence on Instagram. Today, the Facebook group, Metal Clay Now, has over 10K members. All are welcome to join our brand-neutral group, share ideas and inspire each other.
To continue with this educational theme, a depository of educational materials—tips, useful tools, and educational hub on MetalClayNow.com provides a central location for events and workshops. Any member who wishes to post an event or workshop, can upload the details to our database so that our members can search for a class that fits their needs. Members are able to post comments about instructors or classes that they have attended.
Metal Clay Now and its sister sites on Twitter and Pinterest is a non-commercial, brand-neutral meeting place for all aspects of metal clay. This year we've added MetalClayNow.com, an education hub for all aspects of metal clay learning. By gathering artists, technicians and innovators from around the world, this enterprise will become a rich gathering place that will foster creativity and raise professional standards. Metal Clay Now is not tied to any distributor and welcomes discussion of all forms of metal clay. Read more about our Mission Statement & Rules of Engagement.
